BLUE SHARE THE NEW SINGLE ‘BEAUTIFUL SPIRITUAL’ FROM NEW ALBUM ‘REFLECTIONS’ FOLLOWS ON JANUARY 9TH

It’s almost 25 years to the day since Blue introduced themselves as the edgier, more street-real counterparts to their polished, put-together rivals with their smash hit debut album ‘All Rise’. And as they approach the January 9th release of their new album ‘Reflections’, their recent singles ‘One Last Time’ and ‘Waste My Time’ have proved that they’re as ambitious, adventurous and up-for-it as ever. That resurgence continues to accelerate as they now share their new single ‘Beautiful Spiritual’

After a Duncan James song (‘One Last Time’) and a Simon Webbe song (‘Waste My Time’), ‘Beautiful Spiritual’ is the first Lee Ryan song to preview the new album. It’s an unexpected fusion of the old-with-the-new: bold, modernist pop production with a funky, dancefloor-friendly vibe worthy of George Michael, while maintaining the Blue boys’ beloved R&B roots. While it’s a love song, there’s a subtle twist. Its newly-rewritten verses explore a relationship that has evolved over time. 
 
Lee says, “I wrote ‘Beautiful Spiritual’ 22 years ago after doing my first solo album. I got in with Jarrad Rogers and literally wrote a whole album in 3 weeks. ‘Beautiful Spiritual’ was one of those songs! It really does show you sometimes songs have their own divine timing in this crazy world of music. Two decades later and this track finally made it to the front of the queue, I never gave up on hoping this song would one day have its moment. I think that’s a life lesson right there, sometimes a little patience and tenacity goes a long long long way.”
 
‘Beautiful Spiritual’ was written by Lee with Jarrad Rogers (Charli xcx) and the band’s regular collaborator Paul Visser. It was produced by GoldCrush and Jarrad Rogers.

‘Reflections’ shapes a new future for Blue, one that’s shaped by more recent life experiences but still powered by the enthusiasm that they shared from the start.  It was a time which saw them score three consecutive UK #1 albums – ‘All Rise’, ‘One Love’ and ‘Guilty’ – alongside eleven Top 10 singles including the #1 smashes ‘Too Close’, ‘If You Came Back’ and ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ (with Elton John) as well as 2000s pop classics ‘One Love’ and ‘All Rise’. Along the way, Blue – still consisting of their original line-up – also won two BRIT Awards.
 
That following is as strong as ever, as multi-generational enthusiasm for Blue’s return has seen their 2026 tour dates repeatedly extended to meet explosive ticket demand. Their shows will now take them from Tokyo, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur in February, followed by extensive runs across the UK and Europe in April and May, and then an additional tour focusing on Germany and Italy in the autumn. They commence the year with a sold-out album signing tour.
