Hopeless Kids
Hopeless Kids are an interesting band, billed as garage/indie, they most resemble the psychedelic vibes of Velvet Underground. Very delicate vocals waft through the dark musings of guitar and bass. Following up their Dark Paradise album, this single seems a bit more produced, not quite as lofi as their earlier work. But it is still as atmospheric and engaging, highlighted with a harsher guitar and percussion presence. The song hinges on the vocals of Eleonore Addams, which are front and center in the production. Though her delivery is light and breathy, “Love Affair” is a powerful song, both lyrically and musically. A thoroughly enjoyable excursion into darker territory.
Hopeless Kids is a French Indie rock couple band. Comprised of Eleonore Addams on vocals and Max Walter on guitar & bass, they write/perform garage/indie Rock for your soul. They are from Paris, France. Their first album Dark Paradise was released in 2017.
