| The brand new luxurious little goblin called Manx is a new world of perfect contrasts. Written, produced and presented by Maria Nyström, formerly known as The Naima Train. She’s been making music since she was 15 and as The Naima Train she made herself a name in the Gothenburg scene. But something had to change and she needed to take a step back to find out which direction her music had to take. Now, the music holds the world’s influences compressed into a tiny glass marble. She blends hot darbukas with smashy pop and fragments of jazz; Everything where it is least expected. It’s also the unexpected that lies ahead when Maria is making new music because when The Naima Train was driven by others expectations instead of her own creative impulse. First single “Im giving u art” is released March 29 on VÅRØ and it’s the first single as MANX. Before the summer single number two will be released and after the summer you can expect a EP. |
