Mushy Callahan

Formed in 2013, Toronto band Mushy Callahan now release their latest single “Deep Meadow”. Graced with a rhythmical cadence and compelling guitar work, this alt rock tune tells of a lost and empty love. Lyrically, “Deep Meadow” is a beautiful, evocative song that is highlighted by dense layers of guitar with a throbbing bassline. As a follow-up to their previous album Makings of a Man, this new single moves them away from the bluesy sound into alt rock territory. But the track still retains a gritty undertone that speaks of a serious band still searching for their sound. As far as I’m concerned, they’ve found it and I’m looking forward to the new album.

Alberta brothers, Mushy Callahan pulled up stakes and moved to their new home town of Toronto. They emulate classic rock sounds with beefy bass riffs, arena-quality guitar solos, and booming vocals turn this into indie rock with umph. Mushy Callahan recently toured the UK and are now touring across Canada in anticipation of their new album “Makings of a Man” (set to release this Summer). Their debut EP “Man On The Run” is Now Available on iTunes. Look for them playing in a town near you.
