Following the release of her single Olé, YVY MARAEY teams up with rapper Raiza Biza for single ‘Water’.
YVY MARAEY’s ‘Water’ is a multi-cultural coalesce, with the half Brazilian artist working alongside New Zealand born talent: guitarist/producer Simon Abela, singer songwriter/producer Noah Slee, and Rwandan– Kiwi wordsmith Raiza Biza. The track was born out of the lockdown period and has patiently been awaiting its release until now, with its surface being as hypnotically rippling as its title.
The audio is met with stunning visuals captured in and around Karekare beach on
New Zealand’s west coast, shot by highly-accomplished local director Connor
Pritchard. Serving as a stunning celebration of and homage to all indigenous
cultures across the world, the video gives space to each of its characters to honour
their traditional clothing from respective countries, these include, Tupi Guarani,
Tahiti, Philippines and of course Rwanda.
