Musician/producer Anna Wichmann has created a marvelous sound with She’s Excited.  With her new release Love is Round, she explores ambient textures, danceable pop and electronica ballads.   With a vocal styling rather akin to Annie Lennox, tracks like “New” haunt one with their mystery and beauty.  The music successfully combines the pop vocals with a rich, layered  backdrop.  “Lose My Cool” fuses a techno dance beat with her sometimes sultry, expressive voice.  The title track “Round”, and its futuristic video, seems almost bluesy at times as she primarily relies on her vocals.  Her production skills are also excellent, revealing an album that delivers sonically.  Love is Round also features remixes of four of the five songs.  No doubt, She’s Excited about good music!  Consequently this is a bright, diverse, fun album.

She’s Excited! is a New York based singer, musician, and producer with roots in many genres – including Stoner Rock and Punk – but her heart belongs to Pop and Electronica. Her influences range from David Bowie and Tina Turner to Odesza, HÆLOS, Róisín Murphy, and Robyn to name but a few. On top of her solo career, she collaborates frequently with different producers and artists from all over the globe.  She is always curious about new input and looking for inspiration in many different places. When it comes to writing lyrics, she likes to think outside the box.  She’s Excited combines freak and fun with thoughtfulness and imagination. The outcome is a unique version of uplifting electronic music, carried by her singular voice.
