G.H. Hat
Glendale, CA resident G.H. Hat is making an interesting evolution into EDM from the typical classical work he produces and remixes. Adding intelligence, sterling production and sophisticated grooves, his brand of electronic dance music moves from just a standard dance track to a hypnotic groove. His 2016 release “Primal” is a great example of this transition. In addition, “Joyogistic” mined classical and trip-hop territory. Hat has now released “I Got a Problem (I Wonder)” featuring Mickey Shiloh on vocals. Her expressive voice reflects the agony and hurt of a breakup while Hat keeps things animated with his dynamic beats and leading-edge composition. While still danceable, “I Got A Problem” has many effects and hooks to keep you interested. Adding to that, the lyrics resonate with the truth of pain.
G.H. Hat is a multi-genre producer, remixer, composer and performer. With 290 Classical releases under his belt, G.H. Hat decided to enter the EDM arena in 2016. His first release “Primal”, an instrumental trip-hop release, was on the Soundcloud Top 50 triphop charts for 14 straight weeks as well as his next trip-hop instrumental release “Joyogistic”. Also, his “Piano Jam (Ode to Kygo)” was the first of several songs to be picked up by one of Spotify’s official Playlist and has remained on it for over a year now.
